ENCHANTMENT WITH GEOMETRY: RADOMÍR LESZCZYNSKI, RADOSLAV KRATINA, ZDENKĚK SÝKORA, TOMÁŠ RAJLICH

This exhibition is the most extensive presentation to date of the painterly and graphic work of Radomír Leszczynski (*1945), a prominent artistic figure of constructive geometric art, a leading representative of Czech graphic design, and a member of the re-established Club of Concretists. His large-scale canvases as well as his more intimate graphic works are defined by pure aesthetic qualities of pictorial composition—rhythm, mutual tension, and the interplay of abstract forms and color tones.
The exhibition is complemented by works by Radoslav Kratina (1928–1999) and Tomáš Rajlich (*1940), renowned co-founders of the Club of Concretists (1967–1970), and by Zdeněk Sýkora (1920–2011), an artist of international renown. Leszczynski built upon Sýkora’s pioneering use of the computer in the composition of traditionally painted works, developing these approaches from his own perspective into entirely original results.
