Zdeněk Kunst (*1955)
Wings, 2025, fused crystal, cut and polished, signed Z. Kunst, overall dimensions 28 × 30 × 11 cm.
Author’s words: Outstretched wings invite flight through open space together with a longing for freedom. The structure created from semi-matte cuts is meant to evoke feathers and to contrast with the smooth, polished surface of the other wing. The yellow color gives the object the illusion of sunlight illumination and a sense of uplifted lightness.
